First glimpse of a painted lady!

Look carefully! Here is a glimpse of a Painted Lady butterfly. The underwings are creamy-coloured with black spots and tangerine patches. I got a flash of the butterfly’s bright orange topside before it flew off. I’m hoping this is going to be the first of many as I left the nettles to grow here so the butterflies could lay their eggs....
